Llewelyn Riggs McKay was born June 5, 1904 to David O. McKay, the ninth president of the LDS Church, and Emma Ray Riggs McKay. Llewelyn McKay served as an LDS missionary in Germany between 1922 and 1925 and later returned to Germany in 1945 as a U.S. bombing analyst during the aftermath of World War II.
